A guitarist rooted in tradition,
writing toward what's next.

Kai earned his BFA with honors from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, and now splits his time between the bandstand and building work for the musicians around him.

His debut album, Impressions of Yesterday (2023), has reached roughly 30,000 monthly listeners and earned him the Prime Minister's Prize for Jazz Composition. He's currently touring and writing his next record, built around an organ trio.
